Custom Chuppah Glass to Mezuzah conversions
By Brad Applebaum Designs
In Jewish tradition, a wedding ceremony takes place under a canopy called a chuppah. At the end of the ceremony, it’s customary for the groom to break a glass—symbolizing the fragility of life and the joy of new beginnings.
I create custom, hand-blown wedding glasses tailored to your style—whether that means matching your wedding colors or the palette of your home. After the glass is broken, you send the shards back to me, and I carefully re-melt and reshape them into a one-of-a-kind mezuzah for your home.
Each piece is a beautiful reminder of your wedding day and a meaningful expression of your faith and love.
Let’s create something unforgettable—contact me to start your commission today.
Each piece is completely bespoke to order. First, we'll zoom to talk about your color preference. Once we've dialed on a color palette for your specific needs, I will then fashion you a glass for your event.
After the wonderful occasion, you ship me back the shards inside the included pouch, inside the prepaid box.
Once i receive your shards, i will then piece them back together re-melting them a mezuzah for your home, symbolizing the unity and forever bond of that day.
When we were looking for a unique wedding gift for a very special couple, Brad showed us the chuppah glass he was making for Jewish celebrations. He made the glass cup that is stepped on during the ceremony and used the shards of the glass to make a beautiful tree of life mezuzah which now adorns the newlywed’s new home. We gave Brad a picture of the florals for the wedding and he was able to create the piece to match the colors. It’s a precious gift that is part of the ceremony and then turned into a significant gift and blessing.
Brad is an amazing artist to work with from start to finish. He makes the process very simple, even taking care of the details such as the packaging in every step. Brad is creating more than just art; he is creating memories for a lifetime.”
I cannot express how meaningful and beautiful this mezuzah ended up to be! After our wedding, we wanted to preserve the broken glass in a way that would carry its significance into our daily lives. B-Money transformed them into a stunning mezuzah that now hangs proudly at the entrance of our home, reminding us of the sacred vows we took under the Chuppah.
The craftsmanship is extraordinary, with every detail thoughtfully designed to highlight the vibrant shards of the glass. It’s more than a mezuzah—it’s a piece of art and a deeply personal keepsake. Knowing it was made by hand, with care and skill, makes it even more special.
Every time we see it, it brings us joy and gratitude, connecting us to that incredible day. This is such a unique and heartfelt gift idea, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful way to preserve their wedding memories. Truly a treasure!"
